Healthy Snacks For Kids
- Hummus (with red bell peppers, carrots, zucchini, celery, plantain chips, rice crackers, almond crackers)
- Trail Mix (NOT with yogurt balls or candy! Dried fruit and dark chocolate chips okay)
- ANY vegetable (e.g. carrots, red bell peppers, zucchini sticks, tomato slices with olive oil et al)
- Hard-boiled egg(s) with mustard or mayo dip
- Avocados/Guacamole (with a measured serving of tortilla chips, or dip with vegetables)
- ANY fruit!!
- Salsa (with a measured serving of tortilla chips)
- Olives
- Egg Salad on rice or almond crackers
- Peanut or Almond Butter on apple or banana slices
- Tuna Salad on rice crackers or on bed of spinach leaves
- Sardines or Herring or Mackerel
- Baked Sweet Potato Fries
- Natural Yogurt (plain full-fat) with honey, fruit, oats
- Kale Chips
- Fruit Smoothie
- Refried Beans with salsa or guacamole or melted cheese, and a measured serving of tortilla chips
